Terminal X
Terminal X is an AI platform for investment firms, aimed at private equity, credit and other institutional investors. It turns a firm's data rooms, models, memos and IC history into what it calls a Capital Memory that the firm owns, then runs agents customized by asset class and strategy on top of it to draft diligence work, IC memos, models and decks in the firm's own format. Its forward-deployed engineers, who OpenAI's customer story says are former finance professionals from JPMorgan and Blackstone, work onsite with each customer to encode how the firm invests. Every agent step shows its sources and can be edited and rerun, and an Eval Agent checks outputs against a 54-criterion rubric and the fund's mandate. It deploys on-premise, in the firm's private cloud or in Terminal X's cloud. Performance and savings figures in the OpenAI story are reported by Terminal X (see https://aiforinvestors.ai/news/s43/).
What it does
- Capital Memory: indexes data rooms, Excel models, emails, decks, filings and market data down to the page, cell and sentence
- Custom agent workflows for desks such as take-private IC memos, LBO model refreshes and portfolio review decks
- Agent traces show every source and step; edit any step and rerun from there
- Eval Agent scores outputs against a 54-criterion rubric and the fund's mandate; evals also compare frontier models on the firm's own tasks
- Outputs memos, models and decks in the firm's format
- Processes documents in English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese (per the OpenAI story)
- On-premise, private cloud or hosted deployment; SOC 2 Type II audited (vendor claim)
- Customer results, such as $2.4M annualized savings for one PE firm, are self-reported via the OpenAI story
