Latham & Watkins and Harvey team up on AI for fund formation documents
○ Auto-checkedVendor claim
Latham & Watkins' Investment Funds Practice and Harvey announced a design partnership to build AI capabilities for fund formation work. The focus is the core documents of a fund raise: limited partnership agreements, side letters, subscription documents and comment memos. Latham's Matthew Chase and Harvey CEO Winston Weinberg both commented on the effort.
Why it matters for investors
Fund formation and side letter negotiation are some of the most document-heavy, repetitive work between GPs, LPs and their lawyers, so a top funds practice building AI for it could change how fast and how cheaply terms get negotiated.
