Compound is an AI platform for buy-side finance teams. Its agents work from data rooms, CIMs, filings and Excel models to produce the deliverables a deal team writes, such as diligence work, financial models, decks and IC memos, in Excel, PowerPoint and Word files. Its pricing page says it is used by teams across PE, VC, growth equity, real estate and hedge funds. Compound V2 runs work as background tasks, lets teams share an agent per deal and comment on workbooks and decks for the agent to act on, and traces numbers in a deck back to model cells and the source filing passage. Compound also runs PE Bench, a benchmark of AI agents on PE analyst work that it scores itself and in which it competes, so its own top scores there are self-reported (see https://aiforinvestors.ai/news/l38/).
