Hogan Lovells Cadwalader signs both Harvey and Legora in a firmwide legal AI strategy
Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, formed by this year's merger of Hogan Lovells and Wall Street finance firm Cadwalader, has signed firmwide agreements with both Harvey and Legora rather than picking one. The two platforms sit alongside ELTEMATE, the firm's roughly 100-person in-house legal tech business. Legora said the deal follows a pilot in which more than 1,300 lawyers across 18 practice teams, including M&A, capital markets and banking and finance, used it on real matters. The firm also set up an AI board and named a managing partner for legal technology and AI.
Deal teams' outside counsel is standardizing on more than one legal AI platform, so diligence and documentation work on M&A and finance matters will increasingly run through these tools.
