Ex-Greenberg Traurig M&A lawyer launches useABI, an AI 'associate' for deal teams
Abdulrasheed Ijaodola, who practiced M&A at Greenberg Traurig mainly for private equity clients, launched useABI with CTO Adam Usman. Inside a shared deal workspace it produces purchase agreement markups, issues lists, diligence reports and supplemental request lists, and it can take more than 100,000 data-room documents and flag, for example, whether a change-of-control clause would be triggered. A feature called Insights lets firms query their own past deals across 71 categories. The founders say it began its first major pilot at an unnamed Am Law 100 firm.
Sponsor-side diligence and SPA markups are the work these tools aim at, which can change how fast and how cheaply deal counsel turns a target.
