Monterro takes a majority stake in Grunden AI to run shared AI infrastructure for its portfolio
○ Auto-checkedVendor claim
Software growth investor Monterro made a majority investment in Grunden AI, a Swedish company that runs open-weight models on its own GPU clusters in Nordic data centres. Grunden becomes the technical foundation for Monterro Enclave, which gives Monterro's portfolio companies model access at predictable cost with European data sovereignty. Grunden will keep selling to customers outside the portfolio.
Why it matters for investors
A PE-style owner is buying AI infrastructure as a shared service for its portfolio instead of leaving each company to solve it.
